Cricket World Cup 2007

Cricket world cup 2007 ended on a bad note with all problems in the final. Once again Australia proved they are world campions. Many people were not happy with many things. India and Pakistan going out early was a shock to millions of people. Many people in Asia where expecting Sri Lanka to win. But untimately Australia proved that they are far above all other teams. This Australian team looks unbeatable. Anyway I am sure on any given day they can lose to any team as it happened with India and Pakistan.

Now all the teams will be hoping for the next world cup in 2011. But again it will depend upon how well the teams start preparing from now. Bangladesh performed this time. Bob Woolmer death was also a sad part of this world cup.

Few lessons from this worldcup:-

  1. Never Underestimate anyone. (Bangladesh & Netherlands)
  2. Never Overestimate anyone. (India & Pakistan)
  3. Champions will remain champions if they play upto their potential. (Australia)
  4. If you have a team which is not based on few big names but all people playing their part then you can go far ahead. (Sri Lanka)
  5. No one knows when they will face death and leave this world. (Bob Woolmer)

That bring me to conclusion-

Bible Says in Hebrews 9:27 -” And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment“.

Let’s think about our life. Are we ready to face the judgement of God if we are to face the reality of Death today?

Pastor Attacked in Jaipur,Rajasthan,India

Another report of attack on pastor in India

http://www.worthynews.com/christian/india-hindu-militants-attack-independent-pastor-in-front-of-daughter/

What a shameful thing to attack a person infront of his daughter and misbehaving with his wife and that also in the name of religion. This world was created by God and its a very sad thing when we hear such reports. My prayer is that God will give wisdom to people so that they can understand that by violence no one is going to achieve anything. If a person don’t want to hear a message or teaching of other religion then just leave it and go ahead. Why do we hurt and fight with each other. Everyone has the right to speak whatever he/she wants. If you don’t agree with it then just don’t hear. But killing and persecuting in the name of religion is something which I feel is not good.

India is secular country where each indiviual has the right to practice which ever religion he wants. There is no point in trying to stop or forcing anyone into anything.

Message of Bible never teaches anyone to force anyone to follow Christ. Its an individuals decision whether he wants to follow or not.

In Rev 3:20 Jesus says

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. ”

Jesus gives an invitation and says if anyone hears and opens door then He will come in. Jesus never opens any heart’s door by force. So following Jesus is a decision which an individual has to take by himself.

So if there is any forceful conversion then its wrong on biblical basis. But if a person wants to follow Jesus by his own then no one should stop. I don’t understand what people will gain by persecuting. At last they are also human beings.

True Revival

Few weeks ago I was in Hinton,OK for ICPF Awake camp. It was really good. It was a long drive of 13-14 hrs one side. God kept us safe. Rev. Jacob Mathew & Glen Badonsky were the main speakers and it was a great time of refreshing.
The main points to throw light from the camp:-
This is a generation which needs to be rooted in the word of God.
Rev.Jacob Mathew asked a question during Saturday evening meeting- What answer will you give to any person who asks you about the God whom you serve? Very challenging question when we see the times in which we are living.

Also we had a guest preacher in our church few days ago - Dwight Knight. He gave an awesome message. One point he made in the end I want to say here-
True revival is not when many people starts coming to church but when people from the church starts going out into the world.

Be Alert: Do not fall into this trap!
