Church of Oprah Winfrey
Now when we see all these things, the faith of a person who believes in the Bible reaches a new height because these all are fulfillment of prophecies written in the Bible.
I don't know much about Oprah since I don't watch her programs but I am sure that she has a big influence among people and there are many people even Christians who admire her. I can give you some links to learn more about this which will help you all in understanding how serious it is.

Then of course you can do a Google search and you will get lot of information. I will recommend that people see it and understand another scheme of devil to deceive people and to make them believe his lie.
2 Timothy 3:1-6
" 1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."

Is John Hagee promoting Heresy?
Go to link http://www.amazon.com/review/R18MVV813B5WSX/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm to see the promo.
His claims are;- This book will expose the sins of the fathers and the vicious abuse of the Jewish people. In Defense of Israel will shake Christian theology. It scripturally proves that the Jewish people as a whole did not reject Jesus as Messiah. It will also prove that Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah. It will prove that there was a Calvary conspiracy between Rome, the high priest, and Herod to execute Jesus as an insurrectionist too dangerous to live. Since Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah, how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting what was never offered?
Now if you are a thinking Christian concerned with heresy and false teachings coming up then you must read about it and find for yourself whats the truth behind it.
You can do a search and you will get lot of information about it.
1 John 4 :1 "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
2 Peter 2:1-3 :- "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."
Now be sure that there will be lot of false teachers and heresy coming up in the last days. Many will have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 tim 4:5). So make sure you test every teaching and doctrine in the light of the word of God.
Note:- Since you are a matured Christian I am not going to give any conclusion in John Hagee matter but its up to you to see it if you want. But if we really want to follow Christ then we must take a stand against false teachings.

There is also a Malayalam gospel movie Arinjittum Ariyathae by IET. The link is http://www.gospel-link.com/Gospel_Movies.aspx . It's out there in the youtube and it has lot of hits and I think its a good gospel movie which explains some of the basic beliefs of born again christians.
I also have links to some live radio stations in Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam etc. I will be adding it soon and watch out for it. Some of them I am really enjoying and I praise God for enabling those people behind to do things like this. I am plannig to make gospel-link.com a real linking site. Time is always a constraint.
Now let me add few things about ICPF Camp. It was a great blessing to be there in the camp this year. There were different sessions for different groups and I am sure that everyone enjoyed it. The organizers did a great job with so many people attending the camp. My estimate is that there were more than 500 people. I got the opproutunity to meet some great men & women of God during the camp. I am sure that meeting some people were divine appointments as I could learn a lot from the life and ministry of many people. The theme of the camp was "Set apart for the glory of God'. Next years camp will be held in Houston.
ICPF is doing a good work among college students in India and now they are growing in US also. I am glad about that as I have few friends who are in the leadership of ICPF. My prayer is that God may continue to Bless and expand this minstry. You can find more information about them at http://www.icpf.org and http://www.icpfnews.com .
I want to write more about certain things I learned during the last weeks but then that will make this post too long. But I will try to add in the coming days.

Joy - Love Righteousness and Hate Wickedness
So what is the solution to this. People have found out different ways to have joy in their life. Let me give some examples of most common ways in which people try to get joy. Some think that going out on a vacation is the solution. But what after you come back from vacation. Other people have other ideas like watching a movie, going to a night club or party, hanging out with friends etc. But what after 2-3 hours of movie or party? Then there are many who think drinking and indulging in sinful things give them joy. What they fail to understand is that Joy is not pleasure. Its something different.
I got this definition of Joy from somewhere. It says, "Joy is an essential spiritual practice growing out of faith, grace, gratitude, hope, and love. It is the pure and simple delight in being alive. Joy is our elated response to feelings of happiness, experiences of pleasure, and awareness of abundance. It is also the deep satisfaction we know when we are able to serve others and be glad for their good fortune."
Now Bible speaks a lot about joy. In fact Joy is one of the spiritual fruit expected of a born-again Christian. But many times we see that people don't have this joy in their life. Many things can be said about this subject. But today I don't want to write much. I want to mention just 1 verse from Bible that tells us how to have this joy in your life. The verse is Psalms 45:7
"You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy." (NIV)
The formula given here is simple but not followed often. It says that you love righteousness and hate wickedness. Then God will set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of Joy.
Now we can interpret it in many ways. But one thing I learned from this verse is that in order to be anointed by the oil of joy you need to do one thing- Love righteousness and hate wickedness. That’s a requirement. God promises you to place you above your companions.
Now the last thing - We may say that it's very easy. You may be a church going Christian. But hating wickedness requires a deep commitment to follow God. Loving righteousness also requires the deep commitment. We are living in a society and time when a person who love righteousnessand hates wickedness is considered as someone old fashioned and out dated. Pressure is always there to go after wickedness. Few examples are watching movies that has wicked philosophy, watching pornography, using abusive and filthy language etc. Now you may say I don't love these things but I am just ok with it. I am not that conservative.
But here the Bible is asking us to hate wickedness. I don't want to write much but want you to think. Do you really hate wickedness in your life or are you ok with wickedness. Do you really love righteousness or are you just ok about that also.
One way to find joy and joy in abundance that God provides is to love righteousness and hate wickedness.

Presence of God in our Life
A wrong idea which has come in the church today is that people have the idea that presence of God is something to be experienced in church or some other special occasions. A idea of experiencing the presence of God always and leading a life in close walk with God sounds like an old fashioned thing for many people. I say like this because if we really had then we wouldn't be doing many things which we do. Now think about things we avoid doing when we are on fasting or when we are in church. When we are in spiritual environment then we avoid many things. But we do the same things when we are alone. Now there seems to be some problem with that. Are we considering God as one among many things in our life or are we really considering him as main thing in our life.
Do we really long for the presence of God in our life. If we do then how do we conduct our life. What is the standard of our life? Is it good enough so that the presence of God will be there always in our life?
I would encourage you to watch this message given by Paul Washer. This message is titled as shocking. But I think he is just trying to put forward some important things which this generation Christians must understand. I encourage you to take some time and see this video and think about your own life.

First Obey then Teach
Some places so many meetings are conducted with so many preachers and teachers emerging with many thoughts. Many times people also want to hear new things and new thoughts. Otherwise the preacher is not good. That's what they think. Its always good to receive a new message from God. But that should not happen at the cost of us forgetting the basics. Many times we hear so many sermons and so many new thoughts that we forget the basics. But a balanced child of God will make sure that he/she spends quality time meditating on the simple truths found in the word of God. Else there is a chance that we may wander away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now I want to bring to your attention a verse from Bible. It's from Mathew 5:19
In this verses Jesus was telling a simple thing but an important thing. If you don't obey and just teach others to do it then there is no benefit of it. You will be least in kingdom of heaven. But if you obey and then teach then you will be great in Kingdom of heaven.
When we meditate of these verses then we can see how true it is. Sometimes the sermons we preach we don't follow. Sometimes we act like a salesmen trying to sell a product even though he himself is not convinced with the product. That's the reason why we fail to make an impact with the word of God in the way it should make. If we don't obey or follow something and still try to preach the same then there is not much benefit of it. The real impact will come when we obey and teach others also.
Let's think of all the things we taught others may be through preaching, group discussion or may be on a one to one basis. Are we able to follow it and obey it? If not then let's change our ways.
Question for you- are you a follower of God's Law or a Salesmen trying to just teach or sell to others what you learned from other places?
The need of the hour is that we need people who will Obey and teach the word of God. We need followers and not just guides.
May God Bless You!

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead
A new year has started. Whenever something new happens people are excited and they have expectations of something good or better happening in their life. In some cases what we expect happen and in most of the cases what we hope or expect doesnot happen. People make lot of new year resolutions and sometimes fails to keep it even for 1 month. But life still goes on and on.
I want to bring your attention to a verse from the Bible. It’s taken from Philippians 3 and verses 12-14
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Here the writer of this book Paul says that he wants to forget what is behind and wants to move ahead towards the goal to win the prize for which God Called him. Many times we get blogged down by the things which happened in the past. We are unable to move beyond certain things. Sometimes it may be the hurts, bad things which happened in our life etc. Sometimes it can be our achievements. When we read that entire chapter Paul express three desires.
They are :-
- I want to know Christ
- I want to be like Christ
- I want to be all Christ had in mind for me
In this new year lets make it our goal. Let’s forget what we are supposed to forget and move ahead. The call and the promises of our God in each persons life is big. If we allow ourself to be caught up in old things then we won’t be able to achieve it.
Lets strain towards what lies ahead and press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.
May God Bless You and Have a Blesses Year 2008!
